TMT - History in Miniature

October News

Welcome to our second monthly newsletter. The first one seemed to go down very well and thank you for all your kind and supportive comments.

October sees another busy month for TMterrain. We will be at the Birmingham show on the 31st of the month. We don't have as much space as we do in London so if you want anything from us please contact us before the show so we can bring it along for you. You can contact us via the web site, placing your order as normal but selecting the 'other' payment option or just give us a ring.
We should have all of the new stock listed below at the show so if you want a closer look before you buy come and find us on the day.

This month we see new releases from John Jenkins designs and Collectors Showcase. We could also have releases from First Legion but at the time of writing no new release has been formally announced although we may see the second re release of the Napoleonic French Infantry.

John Jenkins Design October releases:

The releases below should be with us the second half of the month.
There are another six releases this month with the highlight being the new World War One Sopwith Camel- the first in a brand new range, hot on the heals of last month's new range, the Spanish Civil war.

Mark and I think this is an inspired choice of subject by John. He is concentrating on the flying machines flown by the aces of World War One so there is a story behind each one. Also ACE10, the first in the range is impressive and eye catching but still with a wingspan of less than 30cm, the Sopwith Camel can easily be displayed on a regular shelf or display cabinet and at £140 they offer great value.
Code SRN02 is the next release on the Sudan range and it sees some direct support for last months Gatling gun. The naval brigade shows up this month as a two figure set firing. The British square is slowly taking shape. £45 for the two figure set is yet again great value.

The War of 1812 is not forgotten with the release of BCHART02. Two crew aiming the gun now brings the number of crew up to 5 (code BCHART01 is the first set of three figures)- an impressive scene. The whole set is now only £130 for the 5 crew and a gun

The Jacobite Rebellion sees another beautifully imaginative set-JR18- a wounded highlander about to be bayoneted by a British infantryman. This will be a great addition to your Jacobite display. It is also dynamic enough to stand alone in your cabinet if you just want to test the water with your first John Jenkins purchase and at only £50 it is well worth the try.

Finally this month, the French Indian war is added to with two codes. BM25 is a two figure set and is the latest Battle of Monongahela release. It adds to the 4th infantry of foot and gives the regiment some backbone- the NCO's- vital for the smooth running of any regular army unit.
The Indian watchtower adds another code to the impressive Indian village in the Raid on St Francis range. The village now consists of wigwams, Longhouses and stockades to protect it. Of course, John forgets nothing and has released a number of codes of Indians to populate the village. A real center piece display.

Collectors Showcase October releases:

The latest Collectors Showcase series of releases (the 12th release in their history) covers the Napoleonic and World War Two theatres.

The Scots Greys release are a complete set of 8 figures including an officer, bugler and standard bearer. Each figure is only £60. If you are a collector of all things Waterloo then these are a must.

World War two looks at both ends of the war so to speak- 1938 Black Shirts and the EZ Eight Sherman.

This release includes two building fronts that will suit all sorts of layouts and displays and are shallow enough to display on a shelf- full details here. Also included are four sets of Reichkanzlerei Guards including a standard bearer and officer. The overall effect is very impressive and hopefully will be added to in the furture.
The final release this month is the wonderfully imaginative EZ Eight Sherman tank set along with additional riders and jumpers. This tank represents excellent value for money at only £135 it comes with an extra damaged track (something you come to expect from Collectors Showcase now a days) but also an extra damaged turret. What other company offers you that? Along with the riders and jumpers the variety of displays you can achieve with this piece are enormous. Finally, of course it comes in winter or Normandy colour schemes.
