May news
Welcome to the May newsletter.
April has come and gone in no time at all. If you look back at the April newsletter you will see details of First Legion and Collectors Showcase releases. They didn't get to us in April but will be with us this month so if you want any get in touch as soon as you can.
At the time of writing this we have no more details of new releases in May for anyone other than John Jenkins designs so this newsletter is a little shorter than normal.
The situation has made us think about changing the newsletter. It is written at the end of each month detailing next months releases as we know them. It means any announcements made after this time never makes it into a newsletter and can never be totally up to date. We think, therefore, we will start up a blog from next month. We can then cover releases as they happen and keep our customers far better informed. We will keep you up to date with our plans.
Anyway, to Mays releases:
John Jenkins Designs
We start with the latest Sudan release. The latest Highlander release now makes eight in the series. GDH08 is a pair of Highlanders at the ready. You now have 16 unique figures to choose from and the opportunities to make an amazing firing line ready for the launch of the natives just gets better and better. The set is still only £45 so great value for money.
The next set is a T26 tank from the Spanish Civil War range. It is designed to make up a complete troop using the other tank releases in the range. The T26 tank is the biggest tank model John has made and it is a stunning piece.cond05 is just £110 and it makes a great addition to your collection- something a bit different from those Tigers and Panthers!
The next release sees another beautiful standard bearer. He is from the Quebec range and is a French officer from the Regiment of Languedoc.QF22 is just £40 and is a must buy to finish off your regimental display or if you like to collect standard bearers. We can just see him amongst your other French Infantrymen!
The Tichonderoga range is not neglected this month with the release of a third set of British 42nd Foot Grenadiers.TIC21 comprises of two grenadiers in march attack poses- another dynamic set for your Tichonderoga diorama. This set is again £50 so is great value for money. We are sure the officers and NCO's will not be long in coming.
Finally, this month from John we have a very imaginative set for the Raid on St Francis series.RRB3 is blacksmith making a horse shoe at his anvil with a horse waiting to be shod. This is a piece that would be happy in many peaceful displays- not just in St Francis.£60 will get you a set you don't see every day and would be a real talking point in your cabinets.
Finally, a quick note to John Jenkins club members- there is more information on new club figures- give Mark a ring for details. We will get them up on the web site soon but we have to work out a better way of doing it on the club page as there are quite a few now to tell you about!
That is it for this month. Hopefully next month will see the launch of a blog which should keep you more up to date with releases as well as showcase David's most recent work.
We will keep you up to date on progress.
