December News

Welcome to the last newsletter of 2010. Where has this year gone?
TMTerrain Ltd has had a very successful year. John Jenkins, First Legion and Collectors Showcase have all increased their output this year and we have seen a number of new and exciting ranges from them all. Johns WW1 and Sudan ranges have made a mark already this year and First Legion's Crusader range is just stunning. Mark and David anticipate an exciting 2011 with more great things coming throughout next year.

Anyway, to December. The highlight of this month in the toy soldier world must be the London Toy Soldier Show on December 4th. The show gets busier and busier each year and it is well worth the effort to come if you possibly can. There is always new figures on display that you will have only seen in photos before and there is often previews of future releases. This year John Jenkins will be on our stand and he has promised to bring a selection of figures that will be released during 2011. Come and find us and have a chat.

Finally, before I get onto the new releases, a note about the VAT rise in January. We will be absorbing most of it. We will only be increasing prices on the larger, higher value items. The regular figures will see no increase in price due to the VAT increase.

David (Mark can't make it this year) hopes to see you at the show but if you can't make it then have a great Christmas and New Year and may we take this opportunity to thank you for your business during 2010.

John Jenkins December releases

All of these releases will be at the show and on display. We have tried to order enough but to be safe please contact David before Friday so he can put what you want to one side.

Focker DR1/17The first release is the second plane in the WW1 series- Knights of the Skies. The Focker DR1/17 ,the famous plane flown by the Red Baron. This is another great piece from John Jenkins Design and we can't wait to see what is next (John has teased us with the suggestion he may have the next plane at the show!!!)

GDH05The Sudan range, probably the most popular range of figures we sell, has been added to with another couple of Highlanders- GDH-05. This is the fifth set of Highlanders now giving you 10 unique Highlander figures. Along with the Gatling gun and Naval riflemen you have the makings of a very impressive display. This set is still only £45 which is terrific value. When you meet John at the show you must ask him when he expects to release the Mahdists.

JR20The Jacobite Rebellion is not neglected this month and sees the release of JR20.This is another single figure set and is a Highlander charging with a Lockaber axe. This range is now a substantial collection of some wonderful figures.JR20 is no exception and at £25 will prove a popular addition to the range. We will have a display at the show to show them off to their full potential.

TIC-06The new Tichonderoga French Indian war range sees the release of two new codes- TIC-06 and TIC-07.TIC-07Both codes add to the 42nd Highlanders and they add fire support to the previously released advancing figures. These are both still only £25 each.

BCHGUN02Finally this month from John Jenkins is a whopper of a gun- a British brass 24pdr for the Battle of Chippewa and BM-26 for the British at Monongahela. You can use the existing crew (BCHART-01 and 02)BM-26 to man the gun so for only £30 you will have another wonderful addition to your collection. BM-26 now gives you 14 unique figures in the 44th Regiment of Foot.

First Legion December releases

First Legion have worked hard to get alot of new codes out for the London Show and all those codes are detailed in last months newsletter.
As I write this months news there are only two new codes announced for this months release. Both are additions to their Stalingrad collection.
GERSTAL021The first release is truly spectacular-sFH 18 150mm Howitzer with Limber and 5 Crew. It retails at £385 which represents real value for money as you get a five figure crew, the gun and a set of limber wheels. First Legion have promised a prime mover for it in the future so is this something you can really do without?

GERSTAL022Finally from First Legion this month is a very imaginative figure of a German in a captured Russian winter coat. GERSTAL022 This guy is a veteran and looks like he has seen it all. If you only buy one First Legion WW2 figure it should be this one. Watch out for both of these releases near the end of the month. We are taking advanced orders so if come and place your order at the show so you make sure you get one.

Collectors Showcase December releases

There is nothing this month from Collectors Showcase. They had a big release last month and it looks like another good one in January. Watch out for the new King Tiger. What a way to start the new year.
